Who We Are

A ministry of Tuscarora Lutheran Parish aimed at serving our community with a variety of styles and sizes of FREE Clothing and shoes for Men, Women, Teens, Youth and Infants. Think of this as “hand-me-downs” from your neighborhood. There is no item limit and no documentation is required. The closet is open to the public one weekend quarterly: May, August, November and February.

Because this ministry runs on donations and is first-come, first-serve, we cannot guarantee sizes or styles will be available when you stop by. However, we do try to request donations for specific items when we see a shortage of a particular size or style.

A true community service, the clothes are sorted for quality and organized in an easy-to-find manner by classes at James Buchanan High School and local volunteers.  We hope everyone on a budget will take advantage of this ministry!

Clothing & SHoe Donations

Where & When

Donations are accepted by appointment only.

Call the St. John’s church office at (717) 328-2149 and leave a message, or email Allison Zeger at allison@graphic-response.com.  Please do not drop clothing off at the church without permission.

What

Clothes, Coats, Winter Hats, Gloves, Scarves, Purses/Bags and Shoes.

Undergarments are only accepted in new packaging.

Donations should be freshly laundered.

Our goal is to provide gently worn and quality clothing to our neighbors. Please do not bring hard-worn, stained or ripped clothing or shoes.  Volunteers check for quality; anything hard-worn, stained or ripped is disposed of – but it is helpful to limit waste as much as possible before the sorting process.

Monetary Donations

Monetary donations are greatly appreciated.  We use funds to purchase racks, shelves, hangers and storage bins.
